adobe_logo1.jpgYesterday (30th Apr, 2008) Pune got its first ever real taste of Flex Boot Camp by Adobe Professionals. There were around 150 participants from various companies and colleges in Pune, who attended this camp. The event was organized solely by Adobe and we can not forget the effort which Raghu gave to make this happen on such a big scale.Raghu held a major hand in making this event successful.

The entire day was divided into various sessions dealing with various aspects of RIA technology and Adobe initiatives. When I entered in the hall at “Hotel Deccan Randazeus” it was filled with Adobe developers and there were no seats to sit. Raghu was explaining the RIA elements and how to make an app more effective. The session was breath taking and everyone was totally involved in the rhythm of the environment.

We saw sneak peak of Thermo and various RIA app demos which are really facinating and informative.

Before the lunch break it was more focused on all offerings from Adobe . After the break it started with discussion on various technologies offered by Adobe for developers.

Just after the lunch, Raghu offerred me to have an inteactive session on “The need of better collaborative User Group”. It was really an honor for me to represent Pune Flex user Group. I assure I will keep working for the group and sharing my knowledge with the members. I asked user to join “Pune Flex User Group” asap to be informed about the happenings in Flex.

The next two sessions were on Adobe Flex  and Adobe AIR development which went really well and I hope everyone got benefitted by the event.

Flex Boot Camp Goodies

There were so many goodies like T-shirts and books which were distributed to the members, who participated in the hands on session and the contest.

This Boot Camp was an amazing experience. It was amazing to see the enthusiasm they had in learning about Flex and AIR. After each session, everybody surrounded the speaker and showered questions. We met developers who had different levels of knowledge on Flex. There were lots of engineers who were already developing applications using Flex and were asking questions on how to use Blaze DS and also on how to integrate Flex with Dot NET/RubyOnRails. Though it was a whole day event, I could see everybody taking down notes for each and every session.
