Today is my first anniversary of blogging

Today is my first anniversary of blogging. When I started out, I didn’t know very much about it and had just read a few blogs. In this one year, I have come to love blogging and visiting blogs and have learned so many new things. I have made some wonderful bloggy friends and I don’t feel my day is complete until I visit them. I thank you for visiting me as often as you can and a special thanks to my daily visitors and commenter. Here is my very first primitive post.

The last year gave a 360 degree turn to my life professionally and personally. There were great changes happening almost each time in my life in between June 2007- June 2008.

Professionally it was the best year of my entire career till date, as I shifted my functional domain to finance and adopted Adobe Flex as my full time passion. I worked with two most wonderful firms Capsilon and Capgemini and they both have Cap J starting with. The later one is the one I am currently working with.

I was overwhelmed when Adobe accepted my feed for aggregation on the very 15th post and in just less than a month time. My blog was a baby blog at that time and I was concentrating on Apple IPhone developments. As I strongly believe in the fact that big responsibilities comes as and when you come to the main stream. And yes I was there in just a months time. I revisited my plans for my blog and started concentrating on more mature topics. I know in the beginning I did so many childish things like copying text, adding logos or might be just pointing to some other site which has the information. In just 3 months time my blog was accessed by 20,000 unique visitors which was itself an achievement.

I feel much honored remembering the day when I first got the call from John Koch, Adobe and he referred me as a community leader and asked me to come and meet him in Mumbai. I met John and Puneet, Product Manager, Adobe and had discussion on various technology initiatives Adobe is planning for Indian developer community.

By the time I was matured enough to contribute actively in communities. And then Raghu, Tech Evangelist, Adobe came with a plan for organizing Flex Boot Camp in Pune. The event was a smash hit (Boot Camp Rocked Pune) and I was nominated as Group manager, Pune Flex User Group. Once again hearties thanks to John and Raghu for authorizing Pune Flex User Group (PuneFUG.org) as a part of Adobe User Groups.

In the meanwhile I gave my Adobe Certification which came again with a great whooping bang, 94% perhaps one of the highest scorers in Flex certification till date. I don’t think this is gonna stop as there are a lot more to come.

Hoping a great post tomorrow on the 2nd Pune Flex Usert Group meet.

Congrats on your first year blogging. Would you be interested in doing some blogging on our internal platform at http://km20.capgemini.com? Would be great to have some of this insight there!

Congrats on the certification, the blog anniversary etc etc.

I’m one of those silent readers of your blog. Curious about your thoughts on Flex..AND silverlight.

We have an interesting scenario where silverlight might play an important role.. but currently its the waiting game.

    cheers
