How is this an achievement for the Indian film industry.
This is a disgraceful film produced by the snobbish Britishers who like to show that India and Indians still wallow in their own shit. Every scene was full of ‘gratuitous’ filth.
For a difference in ow poverty can be tastefully portrayed see Mira Nair’s Salaam Bomaby. Then compare it to what this man has done.
As an Indian you should be ashamed - applauding this dastardly portaryl of India.

hey Tina,
Your blog is superb, however I could not find any place to comment on it.
Anyways, I will be following your site before I go to see any movie.

Mark,
I agree partially to your words. But whatever has done is a picture of India and you can not deny that it does not happens in Mumbai slums.
We can not rectify things and the one who portrays it, we start shouting against them.
I do agree Salaam Bombay was a nice one and far great that this but we are not comparing it here, we are just celebrating our heroes in Oscar. Forget Danny, Rahman has done great job, Gulzaar rocked and even Rusel is awesome.
So why not see the better picture.
